Due to the fact that we do not have a District contract/calendar in place at this time, we will be updating the choir calendar throughout the school year to reflect those changes.  Please check the calendar throughout the year to watch for updates!!!

September

12- Musical Auditions 3:00p.m.-???

(All musical auditions are voluntary)

15- Opera performance during class for all choir students

19- Open House 6:30p.m. NHS

20- Musical Parent Meeting 6:30-8:00p.m. (For those parents who have students in the musical)

20- Deadline for Regional Honors Choir Auditions (For those students who wish to audition.  Ask Mrs. Weiner for more information if you are interested!)

October

11- Fall Choir Concert Dress Rehearsal 3:45-5:00p.m. MANDATORY FOR ALL CHOIR STUDENTS

12- FALL CHOIR CONCERT 7:00p.m. MANDATORY FOR ALL CHOIR STUDENTS

14- Songleaders Chorale only; Albion College Festival- gone for the school day

15- Regional Honors Choir Auditions at WMU (Only for select students who have previously signed up to audition.  Auditions take place during the day at specified audition time slots.)

25- Deadline for Regional Honors Choir applications (Only for students who were accepted into Regional Honors Choir).

November

6- Tech Sunday for those involved in the musical

11- Opening night for PNHS Musical “Thoroughly Modern Millie” 8:00p.m.

12- PNHS Musical 8:00p.m.

13- PNHS Musical 3:00p.m.

17 or 18- Women's Ensemble only; St. Mary's women's choral festival at St. Mary's College, IN

18- PNHS Musical 8:00p.m.

19- PNHS Musical 8:00p.m.

20- PNHS Musical 3:00p.m. Strike/cast party

29- WMU’s methods class comes to visit for the day to observe classes

December

3- Regional Honors Choir Performance/State Honors Choir Auditions at WMU all day (Only for students who were selected to be in Regional Honors Choir from previous auditions.)

16- Holiday Collage Tech Rehearsal 3:00-6:30p.m. MANDATORY FOR ALL CHOIR STUDENTS (Date has been changed from original schedule!)

19- Holiday Collage Dress Rehearsal 3:00-6:30p.m. MANDATORY FOR ALL CHOIR STUDENTS (Date has been changed from original schedule!)

19-21-Michigan Music Conference/State Honors Choir (Only for students who were selected to be in State Honors Choir from previous auditions at Regional Honors Choir)

1- All-State Honors Choir Announced

17-18- District Solo and Ensemble at Pennfield High School in Battle Creek (Only for students studying private voice lessons with outside teachers may sign up for this event.   Ask Mrs. Weiner for more information if you are interested!)

March

12- Pre-Festival Choir Concert MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS 7:00p.m. @PNHS

13-14- Choral Festival at Schoolcraft High School during the school day MANDATORY FOR ALL CHOIR STUDENTS

April

10-26- After school Cabaret rehearsals start for members of WOMEN’S ENSEMBLE and SONGLEADERS CHORALE ONLY

13-14- State Solo and Ensemble (Only for students who received a “1” rating at District Solo and Ensemble)

22- Tech rehearsal for Cabaret 12:00-5:00p.m.(WE AND SLC ONLY)

27- Cabaret Performance 7:00p.m. dessert served,  7:30p.m. performance (WE AND SLC ONLY)

28- Cabaret Performance 7:00p.m. dessert served, 7:30p.m. performance (WE AND SLC ONLY)

29- Cabaret Performance 1:30p.m. dessert served, 2:00p.m. performance /Strike to follow (WE AND SLC ONLY)
